The most popular beach. Easy access right of the main street in Playa Cocles . Lot’s of bars and restaurants, food trucks, and local vendors. Surfing is big. Plenty of room, shade, and beach for everyone. Great for just strolling and taking it all in.

The beach that everyone wants to go to. Great surfing and stand-up paddleboarding. On calm days, pretty good snorkeling too. Fun for the whole family. Parking is tight, so arrive early and stay for the day.

Our favorite beach. Plenty of space, beach, and parking for everyone. Great snorkeling on calm days. A few cool beachside bars to eat and drink. Spend the day, bring a change of clothes, and watch the sunsets. This beach needs to be on your “must do” list.

Another must do. Especially if you like to sample some of the best chocolate in the world. Twice daily. 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Learn how Cacao is grown and then refined into chocolate.

For the sloth lovers. The sanctuary is about a 45 minute drive from Playa Chiquita, but well worth it. Bring your camera. Nothing cuter than baby sloths. Please donate.

Easy to get to. 10 minute drive. 30 minute bike ride. Spectacularly beautiful Coastal Caribbean scenery. Hidden beach coves, beautiful tropical jungle pathways. And you get to enjoy Manzanillo when you finish. Wildlife refuge donations are accepted at the entrance.

A hikers dream. You hike through the jungle starting in Puerto Vargas. You will be watched from above, by Howler Monkeys, Capuchin Monkeys, and Sloths. Eventually the trail leads to the beach where you can hike and enjoy the sand and the sea. When you reach Cahuita, grab some lunch and drinks, and prepare for the hike back. This is a whole day adventure. Donations accepted. A 30 minute drive to Puerto Vargas.
